The Divine YesFor all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us (2 Corinthians 1:20)The lifestyle that follows a transformed mind is one that says "Amen" to everything God has said "Yes" to in the Person of Jesus Christ. This is why we have been studying different aspects and dimensions to what renewing the mind looks like.Again, it is not just memorizing a Bible verse or having scriptural facts ready to pray over a specific situation. There are people who use these formulas, but end up seeing very little sustainable fruit in their lives because, soon enough after they experience one victory, another impossibility comes their way. Repetition and even memorization do not set us up for a sustained, supernatural lifestyle. This only comes when our minds undergo a continuous transformation process, where the very thoughts of God permeate our thoughts. We live mindful of every single promise that Jesus personified when He walked the planet. This is why Jesus is the divine Yes. Everything He said and did while living on the earth shows us what God says "yes" to. thus revealing the most complete picture of God in all of history. Jesus Christ is, Himself, perfect theology. Anything you think you know about God that you can't find in the person of Jesus, you have reason to question. This is why keys like friendship, intimacy, and collaborating with God are so important. It is not simply knowing a formula or a principle, but about enjoying friendship with a Person. Paul makes it clear to us that the promises of God are in Him. They are not in the principles; they are in the Person of Jesus Christ. We cannot spend our lives pursuing principles, all the while never knowing the One these very principles reveal. The problem for those who become motivated by principles is they are often driven by personal benefit, not relationship. We want user-friendly principles to appropriate the promises of God so that we can experience the results we read about in Scripture. The desire to see Kingdom results and fruit is completely healthy, but results should always be the result of intimacy, not in exchange for it. Fruit is produced by those who abide in the vine (see John 15-5_. It is through this process of abiding that we become so deeply and intimately acquainted with the Word of God through the Person of Jesus, that we are authorized to ask for what you desire, and then actually expect what you desire to come to pass (see John 15:5-8).When your desires are fulfilled they become a tree of life to you. The tree of life provides continuous emotional strength, financial strength, wisdom, a mind that's at ease. That is God's desire for you and for every believer.
