Please read, "Dead to Sin, Alive in Christ" then go over the devotional for today:Transformation ThoughtWhen you are saved, your identity changes from a sinner to a saint; you no longer sin by nature because you are no longer a sinner by identity.
1. What is the danger of thinking that, when we sin, we are still sinners by nature?
2. Why do you think you experience an "unnatural feeling" when you sin?
3. How should this be encouraging instead of condemning?
Transformation PrayerFather, thank You for supernaturally transforming my nature. I am no longer a sinner; I am a saint, cleansed by the blood of Jesus. His blood made me a new creation. I am dead to sin and alive to God in Jesus Christ.
1. What is the danger of thinking that, when we sin, we are still sinners by nature?
We will continue to live in guilt and shame and do things out of our old nature... not out of grace and our new nature
2. Why do you think you experience an "unnatural feeling" when you sin?
I always attributed that feeling as guilt, which drove me to shame, to think I'm still a sinner...
3. How should this be encouraging instead of condemning?
It reminds me of my true identity in Christ, that I am a saint and a co-laborer who stumbled but not deter who I am... and what my true nature and calling is.
